I don't have a perticular pattern or strategy to increase my bet I do it when I feel that there's a need to, what is important to me is sticking with my bankroll. Mostly I don't increase my bet, I prefer to relax and go with what I staked with but if I used my last bankroll to bet no matter my excitement to increase my stake I will not do it. I've disciplined myself not to exceed my bankroll and it has been very helpful to me so I can stay focused. I have learnt that winning is by luck, overconfidence most times doesn't proof to be effective so it's better to use amount that you can afford to loose if you must increase your bet.
