This defeat is very important for Manchester City as it firstly reveals a fact that they are still weak and can be beaten by clubs in Premier League. Secondly it means their efforts to improve their squad in the summer from transfers to trainings are not enough too. Lastly they are luckily to get this defeat early as they now know about their weakness, issues while they still have many months and matches ahead for improvement.
