I recently encountered an ad from youtube about a gambling platform and it featured a very popular celebrity in my country. It was short but a good amount of time was dedicated at the end warning gamblers that gambling will not be the solution to their financial problems and it will not improve their economic status. It got my nod of approval because it really is that easy. But some governments still think that this kind of warning is not enough for gamblers to stay responsible. But don’t you think that a constant reminder can wake someone up from delusion? What do you think? Is this enough or should there be more ways to promote responsible gambling?
When I see warnings like this I tend to relate them to the same warnings that’s usually at the packet of cigarettes, warning smokers about the risk of them dying young and yet do you think those warnings are still not enough to get people to stop smoking.
The same applies to gambling ssd also adding warnings at the end of the videos to warn people about the dangers of gambling; to me it’s not that effective, because why warn them after you have already shown them that there are possibilities of them winning a huge amount from gambling? It’s more like telling a child not to consume a sugary substance after showing it to them and telling them how sweet it tastes.
