It is a natural phenomenon that people take things more serious if they are in need of it and come to you than when you are trying to convince them to have such a thing. It's just like someone who wants to learn a trade, you will be the one to go to your master and register your interest with him. It won't be the same with someone whom the master is trying to force to come learn the trade. It is never a good idea to meet a newbie and try to convince them to invest in bitcoin. But if the newbie comes to you, try your best to teach him all he wants to know, that's were the seriousness will come in.
Yeah, it is good for whoever that wants to learn to seek for it instead of you to meet and teach them just because you want to help them because humans are ungrateful even we you have genuine purpose for wanting to teach them something you know it will be helpful to them especially those that relates to money. Anything concerning teachings about money most people feels that you want to scam them or there are benefits you will get from them for teaching and advising them to invest that is why no matter how good you are in any field, never try to persuade anyone to learn or do what you are doing to be successful, just allow them to come to you then you can teach.
The truth is that the rate of fraudulent activities going on in  the internet does not support introducing a random person into anything done online without his declaration of interest to avoid waste of time and energy. Some people would never accept anything you want to tell them except they see proves or they learn about it somewhere else and come begging you for the knowledge. When someone gets very interested, you can even act like you're not willing to teach him at the first time just to test his patience and tolerance. His attitude will then let you understand if he values what he's about to learn because the level of value anyone place on a thing determine the level of interest he will put in to learn it.

Sometimes when you look at a person as unserious when he meets you to teach him, you can even also cajole him with this like "How much are you going to pay", "I don't teach this for free". His reaction will let you understand if he is actually interested. This does not mean you wanted to collect money but if he either decides to go to the extent of paying for the teaching or comes begging you to teach him that he doesn't have money, you will now be sure that he will pay his attention to learn because he really understands the value you want to teach him.

Meeting a person and wanting to teach him about bitcoin is very stressful and discouraging, it can even make you to vow never to teach someone else because of the negligence that the person will be showing you.
