I don't think so, the referee was being fair with that decision since he was called back by the VAR officials. Having a close look at the action, you'll see that the ball hit the lower part of balde's hand that was away from his body. It was a clear penalty and the referee showed an unbiased judgement by awarding it.
The fairness of this action from referee was clear and besides he did his consultation and verified this to be penalty, already with force of the short it could have still been scored if this interception didn't happen because from how the goalkeeper stayed he would have made an attempt but might not really push it away, Levante had the stand of winning Barcelona because they took 2: 0 against Barcelona but the coming of Barcelona first 2 goals was what I was contemplating considering when 45 minutes was played and they did nothing but just 8 minutes of the starting of second half and we saw two goals in line with each others.
