Playing simple gambling games can be fun, but if you spend too much time on them, your brain might get less stimulated, which can affect your focus and sharpness. That’s why it’s important to find a balance and include other activities that help develop your mind.

I understand the point stated by op meanwhile gambling games was never meant to sharpen the brain or give an extraordinarily wisdom, we as gamblers feel the need to go extra miles in terms of studying different types of strategy for the win although this might be fun when we understand what gambling is all about. This is not a general issue rather is common when playing easy gambling games can weaken a gambler sense of reason when encountering other difficult games requiring thinking and being strategic.
That's right gamble was never meant to make us think smart, it's just a game of fun which gamblers should do for entertainment but it seems that many gamblers only gamble to make profits through but. However to me there's no full game in gamble, because if the games are full I'm sure that no body will bet on them because they re not entertaining. Actually all games have their patterns, if slot games are full for the OP, they might not be dull to another players.
