They make it their job because they erroneously believe that's where their financial redemption would come from. Sadly, it's a one out of 100 chance it would happen that way. Those who gamble to the point of addiction should've watched addicts before them and how they ended. But then, I know a lot of people would argue that frustration could be responsible for driving man to that point. Every addict would've their own story of defence.

If they hadn't hit their turning curve, nothing you did would make them change. No piece of advice would make sense to them at that point.
