Remember when you were young how happy you get when you hear the sound of the ice cream you want it badly, you cry, throw tantrums until your parents out caretaker gets it for you, even when you don't physically hear the sound of the van you think about it and wait for it badly. but as you mature you get wiser and more responsible that the sound of the ice cream van doesn't move you anymore, you Don't think about it that much, you get ice cream for fun and when you want to, you are now disciplined about it, but there are some adults who never overcome that and are still today influenced by the sound of the ice cream van.

For me though it has no real effect, well some games like Fish Eye I really like the Big, Mega, Super and Epic win sounds though other than that game in almost all other games I play with the sound turned off.
