Remember when you were young how happy you get when you hear the sound of the ice cream you want it badly, you cry, throw tantrums until your parents out caretaker gets it for you, even when you don't physically hear the sound of the van you think about it and wait for it badly. but as you mature you get wiser and more responsible that the sound of the ice cream van doesn't move you anymore, you Don't think about it that much, you get ice cream for fun and when you want to, you are now disciplined about it, but there are some adults who never overcome that and are still today influenced by the sound of the ice cream van.

Same way sounds can make someone an irresponsible gambler if they don't caution themselves. The Slot machine has lots of sounds that can get stuck in your mind especially the sound it makes when you win. There is this story about a man who is trying to be a responsible gambler on how he used to go to bed thinking about that winning sounds that comes from the slot machine, he just can't wait to be live facing the slot machine and anytime he is not facing the machine the sounds still lingers in his mind. The first step to his recovery was how he started to handle the slot machine sounds.

Gambling is not the Dark angel but is how the gambler acts. Give a kid an iPad and let them watch their favorite cartoons the let that sound affect them that they don't want to do anything else than watch it and it can affect their health, social behavior and interactions.

To be a disciplined gambler you should have a matured mind, see those sounds are things that makes the game fun, if possible get an ear plugs to block it out if you can't handle it, don't underestimate the power of sounds on your psychology.

Even If an irresponsible gambler stops gambling and still have a poorly matured mind they will easily find something else affecting them badly even more than gambling.

This article can show you the power of sounds and how it can affect a gambler.

Conclusion: my aim is to stand for disciplined and responsible gambling because I am also a gambler.

For me though it has no real effect, well some games like Fish Eye I really like the Big, Mega, Super and Epic win sounds though other than that game in almost all other games I play with the sound turned off. I don't like sounds though I like music very much and sometimes when I am winning I open a new tab in my browser and start a playlist of music or put it to Last.fm the best radio that there is in the internet or at least it used to be as I don't know if it is still the most popular one  Grin. Gambling in the end it is all based on luck and most of these things we think have a psychological impact on us are mostly superstitions in my belief. I have a strong belief that if lady luck wants to favor you there is no one who can make you not win money and if she is not on your side no matter what you do you will lose money, this is my motto in gambling.
