I recently encountered an ad from youtube about a gambling platform and it featured a very popular celebrity in my country. It was short but a good amount of time was dedicated at the end warning gamblers that gambling will not be the solution to their financial problems and it will not improve their economic status. It got my nod of approval because it really is that easy. But some governments still think that this kind of warning is not enough for gamblers to stay responsible. But don’t you think that a constant reminder can wake someone up from delusion? What do you think? Is this enough or should there be more ways to promote responsible gambling?
Imho warnings are a good method, but they can do more, and while it's enough for some, it's not enough for everyone.
There are several ways that governments can step in to help problem gamblers, starting from banning misleading advertisement and influencers posting winning videos so that people don't see how much they lost too. That creates false narrative that's easy to believe, because everyone wants to believe they can become rich as well.
And while there's a small change to that. Odds are that even influencers are losing money, and not telling about it.
