A generation takes 20-20 years and Bitcoin is moving to its second decade, so far we've been making progress that cleanse our doubt if Bitcoin will survive. The interesting part is that governments are beginning to adopt Bitcoin, if governments are approaching the market with honesty just as they decided taking Bitcoin as an option for reserve, they wouldn't try to negatively affect the market because they hold large amounts in reserves. Bitcoin is going to survive, if there will be any replacement, it has to stay longer through decades in order to gain the same trust from adopters.
