Recently there has been news of Windows 11 update (KB5063878 & KB5062660) killing SSD's and HDD's. So I strongly urge everyone not to install any updates and make sure to pause it for as long as possible. It is said that these particular updates are causing data loses and corruption as well as making the SSD being inaccessible/vanishing.

i literally moved from windows 10 to 11 just yesterday after receiving so many notifications that Microsoft would stop issuing software updates for 10 in September, only to come across this thread. Luckily for me, i intentionally paused the windows update that same yesterday, with the intention of resuming on Monday.
I just checked. A few updates have been made so far, but the actual two you pointed out have not been installed yet...I will have to do a follow up on this. Thanks for the info Op.
