There are few players in the world who would turn down such a high price. Cristiano Ronaldo was going through a rough patch before moving to Saudi Arabia. He couldn't find a team in Europe that wanted him. He had a difficult time at Manchester United and was determined to leave. Saudi Arabia used its biggest weapon in making this offer, offering him a very high salary. Ronaldo is currently happy there and wants to score his 1,000th goal there. He's just a stone's throw away. He's one of the best players football has ever seen, and that's the way it will remain.

It would be an anomaly if no European team wanted CR7. Before joining Al Nassr, CR7 stated that several European teams had contacted him to join, but he flatly rejected the offers and chose to move to Al Nassr, citing the desire to gain new experience playing in the Asian league. However, the main reason was undoubtedly the substantial salary. And I think this is a fairly wise decision to secure a better retirement, to accumulate more money for a pension fund.

There’s no denying that despite his age, CR7 still has an extraordinary appeal; he remains the center of attention for most football fans. To retain CR7 does require a significant amount of money, but it’s worth it for the club, as its popularity increases, and so do the investors, with many currently investing in the Saudi Pro League.
