They ARE shitcoins, but they are most likely going to last. Doge for being first one, Shiba Being developed first one. Pepe survives and there will probably be other big ones as well, because there are enough people in this space for hundreds of coins and tribalism is strong in this scene.

I've heard this "next time coins with good fundamentals will rise", but shitcoins and scams always grow more then last time. Because top shitcoins will be like beacons of hope to newcomers, and everyone will hope that their new token will make them rich and join to top meme coins.

The thing about "meme" coins is that anyone without coding knowledge can launch their own coin and scam investors for profit. A "launchpad" such as Pump.fun is a good example of this. So unless your "meme" coin has a strong community or fanbase, it won't be going anywhere soon. SHIBA and PEPE still has their fans, so they will remain alive for quite some time. But due to the lack of real use cases, prices will probably stay below $0.01 forever.

At least, SHIBA has its own L2 network called "Shibarium". Attractive BONK and LEASH rewards by "staking" SHIBA might increase demand over the long term. 2030 is only 5 years away. A lot can happen by then. I'm sure Dogecoin will outlive most of the "meme" coins due to being the oldest one in existence. Crypto land behaves in many strange and bizarre ways, so expect the unexpected.
