Great for you, but from what you tagged I wrote that you need to be a disciplined gambler and see those sounds as things that makes the game fun and that is what you are doing. But for those that are getting addicted to the sound and gambling irresponsible they can try blocking out the sound. You may not have this problem but people are really facing it.
I know what you mean. As people get older and become an adult, they have ego which can help them a lot. This makes them to be able to handle this id impulses. As a gambler, if someone is addicted to gambling, sounds from the game can affect the person and the person may not be able to handle it. I understand but I think this is more about addiction. The person should treat the addiction itself and not the id it is getting from the game sound alone. If gambling addiction is treated, that also will be automatically treated in the process.
You are right, this is not about the sound anymore but it’s all about addiction. Although I have to say sound sometimes can also trigger your addiction, but there is always a purpose why a sound is there, to make the game more interesting and engaging. Now, if you don’t appreciate the sound, or you’re getting annoyed from it, while you can control the volume, but other than that, there’s already a big problem on you as a gambler, and you just simply put your blame onto the sound of the game.
