After struggling to win their first league game of the weekend on Tuesday against Osasuna, Real Madrid tonight thrashed Oviedo in the club's first away game of the season. I'm actually not surprised because I know the club manager Xabi Alonso is still test-running the squad at his disposal and trying to find out which players should be regular starters and the positions that best suits them.
As a Real Madrid fan, it was exciting again to see my darling club win convincingly but even more entertaining to see that my favorite player Kylian Mbappe is still firing from all cylinders. Three league goals already from current European boot winner who still appears very hungry for more goalscoring awards in the new campaign.
But in my personal opinion, Xabi should move even faster in this selection. Because now the league has started, so if Xabi takes too long to determine which players will be made the main players in Real Madrid, I think it will affect Real Madrid's performance. Because, fundamentally, Xabi certainly won't be able to maximize his strategy if he hasn't decided who his starting lineups will be. Furthermore, if Real Madrid were to face a stronger team than Oviedo, I think they'd struggle a bit. So, keeping that in mind, I think Xabi should make a decision on this matter as soon as possible.
