From a certain matchday, Bayern’s main competitors dropped points, Dortmund let what seemed like a guaranteed win slip away and ended up with a draw, while Leverkusen even lost their home game against Hoffenheim, and it looks like the fans are not very happy about it. But Leverkusen has become a different team, they lost several players, and without Alonso everything will now be different.
One match doesn't determine a team's path to the Bundesliga title, but considering Bayern Munich's current strength and their ability to beat Leipzig with a promising score, it's safe to say this team has a better chance of retaining the title. I'm not so sure about Ten Hag, as he's a coach who likes to experiment with playing positions, and he did so repeatedly during his time at Manchester United. The loss of several key players and the new style of play Ten Hag is promoting will certainly require adjustments, making it difficult for them to maintain consistency this season.
I don't think Ten Hag is to be mentioned among the title contenders because he has no pattern no good decision making. Someone that gambles every game and leaves their success in players full decision. It is not wrong to state that Bayern Munich would retain this trophy again at the end. Ten Hag has started with a loss against Hoffenheim and he might still lose more frequent. Bayern Leverkusen team was not as perfect, it was Xabi Alonso's tactics that moved the team of which Ten Hag does not have such tactics and keeps making excuses. Well, this is a game of football nothing is completely impossible.
Erik Ten Hag had already coached the team in a similar way in friendly matches. I don't think he has a particularly good technical knowledge. He may have achieved great things in the Netherlands, but the Dutch league isn't as high-quality as the German league, nor is it as good as the Premier League. I don't understand how coaches who are good in the Dutch league have found so many opportunities. He'll likely continue to manage a team in the Dutch league from now on. Bayer Leverkusen may be his last experience outside the Netherlands.
