Al Ahli has once again added to their trophy collection by defeating Al Nassr. They continue their positive trend, indicating their performance remains very stable. At first glance, Al Ahli often displays different performances in other competitions, their strengths are difficult to predict, and in my opinion, this shows that their investment in developing squad depth seems to be paying off. This season, Al Ahli will likely be a serious contender in the Saudi Pro League, while also attempting to defend their AFC Champions League trophy.
This marks Al-Ahli's second Saudi Super Cup win, the first coming in 2016/17. They also won the AFC Champions League in 2024/2025 the previous year. The league season will begin shortly.

Al-Ahli are constantly striving to improve their performance and become even stronger. This season, they have only spent around €38.80 million on signings so far.
I think Al Ahli is truly an extraordinary example. Even though they haven't brought in many expensive players, they've managed to win two prestigious trophies. Compare that to Al Nasr, which boasts expensive players and appears to be very impressive at first glance. But in reality, Al Nasr hasn't been able to achieve satisfactory results. So, Al Nasr must learn not to just prioritize highly popular players, but also to bring in quality players who can enhance the team.

Al Nasr currently has an overabundance of forwards. Essentially, Al Nasr only needs defenders who will improve their defense. But strangely, Al Nasr remains oblivious to this. I really don't understand Al Nasr. Meanwhile, Al Ahli has been actively selling players they no longer need in the squad this transfer window. Just like Allan Saint-Maximin and Firminho, who were sold by Al Ahli in this transfer window. Because both players were no longer performing optimally at Al Ahli, it's understandable that they were ultimately sold. Al Nasr should also have the courage to take a similar step. So, don't keep players who are no longer a good fit for the team.
