That wasn’t their first game though, their first game was against Wolves and they defeated wolves by 4 goals to 2. It is in their second league game to Tottenham that City lost by 2 goals to nil. It was quite an embarrassing loss for Guardiola, letting Spurs defeat them at the Etihad twice in a row.
