If governments forced miners to use solar energy only, would Bitcoin become more sustainable and valuable, or would it reduce mining capacity drastically?
But why is the government forcing miners to use solar energy alone? What are their concrete reasons for doing so? Is it because Bitcoin produces a significant carbon footprint that they made such a rule? What about the textile industry or other industries that use more energy resources and produce a larger carbon footprint? Why the double standard? Because I simply feel that the issue of excessive energy use and carbon footprint in Bitcoin mining is simply an issue that is exaggerated and used as a scapegoat, making Bitcoin appear to be a major threat to the environment, when in fact, it is just a fabricated narrative to spread FUD.
