I generally don't like Omaha, my favourite is Hold'em, mostly because it's more predictable and easier for you to maximize and win when you have a good hand, because you know others won't have unexpectedly good hands if you observe their betting patterns, but in Omaha, just like you, I often get fooled, mostly because I think I have a strong hand, but for some reason, another user tends to have a higher hand than me and I lose.

This is the reason why whenever I'm playing cash games, I specifically choose tables where Hold'em is being played, and I do that for tournaments as well because I feel more comfortable playing Hold'em, and in poker or any game, you should play variants where you feel comfortable, there is no need for you to get out of your comfort zone when you have the opportunity to play the games where you can perform better.
