Liverpool paid £64M to buy Nunez but they sold him for to Al Hilal for £46M. Liverpool lost money on his transfer fee. Nunez is a good striker he can score goals in the SPL. Al Nassr beat them in the Super Cup semi but Al Hilal will be a strong team for the SPL season.
It's strange to see Al Hilal recruit a European player for such a high price. They usually offer high prices to sign players, but it seems Liverpool wanted to close the deal quickly, so they didn't ask for much from Al Hilal.
But I don't think it's a huge loss, at least it's better than Nunez leaving on a free transfer, as not many European clubs were interested in signing him. He wouldn't mind going to Saudi Arabia anyway, perhaps because he wanted to try a new environment.
