Do you guys watch Atalanta's game against newly promoted Pisa? Crazy how they get draw against a mediocre club. Finally Juric's shitshow has begun. They went from Gasperini to the Juric, which was a massive downgrade. They played badly in the first half, but a bit better in the second half after some subs happened.
However, unable to get three points from Pisa is really really bad. They should have won it, but their finishing were so terrible to watch. I'm thinking they may be losing when they fight big clubs.
It is obvious that Atalanta will struggle this season after selling their key players and failing to find good replacements. Mateo Retegui, who was always their top scorer each season, moved to Al Qadisiyah, a Saudi club; and if I'm not mistaken, they have yet to find another good striker like him. On the other hand, Lookman who has always made their offense look dangerous to their opponents, refused to play for them this season because they had agreed that he was free to leave.
To be honest, I gave up on Atalanta winning the match because they played so badly in the first half. The team's chances of making it among the top four this season will be very difficult due to the absence of previous season's players and a new manager, Ivan Jurić, who previously managed Southampton to got relegated from the Premier League.
Situation like these is bound to happen when a team change their coach sometimes the players find it difficult to work with the new coach and it affects the entire teams performance, that's exactly what's happening to Atalanta, they might suffer for a while before the players adapt the new coaches pattern.
Allowing Gasperini to leave is a big mistake and it would really affect them this season, Ivan Juric is not a trustworthy coach he hasn't had a great experience in coaching, I don't really know they signed him but I don't think it's a good choice, I won't be surprise if they fail to win their next match.
