I have seen many people saying they'll love the two, I think i won't be left behind on this but if I have only one option among the two I will choose skills and I have my reasons for that, am from a country where your educational certificate doesn't guarantee you automatic employment but if I have skill I might even be safe employed and there are many companies that prefer skilled worker persons so I might also get employed and maybe sponsor my education later, it only requires me to work hard and always remain focused, although i must be sincere If I must accept skills, I must have gone through the basic education which is primary to atleast secondary level then i can train myself in the university if I start getting money from the skill I learnt.
Some professionals will require a certificate for you to practice. To be a lawyer, doctor, or others who don't just need skill but certification from a recognised higher institution. So if your aim is to pursue a career that requires a certificate, you would have to go to school.
But if you want to pursue a career that requires just skills to practice, you don't need to study for any certificate. An online class or apprenticeship could teach a skill that can make someone successful. The most important part of education is the ability to read, understand, and write.
