Speaking of which, both skill and certificate is good if you can grab them all. There's a relative of mine who got a very competitive position in his work place and the reason he got that position was because he had a very good skill in data analysis and he also had the required degree, the other people that applied for the same position had the degree but didn't have that extra skill that was needed. Second example was about my dad and his colleagueas at the office, one of his colleague has been working with the company for many years and he had so enough experiences with the company but each time a promotion comes, the people that only got prompted were staffs that had the required school certification, meanwhile people that got promoted are always new staffs while the guy has been working with the company for many years. It can be very disappointing to find yourself in such a situation that's why it's good to have both if you can.
