It's good to know the person very well and what he does for a living before selling bitcoin face to face to the person. I only sell bitcoin to family members or very close friends who don't know how to buy from an exchange because they're new to the cryptospace. However, bitcoin is becoming valuable overtime and physical p2p should be discouraged in order to keep your bitcoin involvement a secret and safe from attackers.

Family members and people who are very close to you can still do what the OP is talking about, so no one is trusted to some extent. I totally disagree with the idea of physical P2P. Regardless of who you are to me, I feel like you should make the person know how to get it on the exchange, but selling my bitcoin for them physically, I can’t do that if they don’t know how to get it from the exchange.

I prefer teaching them how to make the transaction. My holding is confidential, and I can’t share it with anyone, and for that, if I’m ready to sell, I will sell it off without anyone among whom I have been hiding it from knowing about it.
