Manchester United performance can be described as inconsistent in other words it's always changing every match. Even though they lost their first match against Arsenal, they seemed to have hope of winning in the following matches. They played quite well in that match and were able to dominate, especially against a strong team like Arsenal.
However in the second week against Fulham whose quality could be said to be below Arsenal's Manchester United's performance deteriorated, and they were fortunate not to lose. If Manchester United's performance continues like this, I doubt they will compete for the Champions League spot this season. If we look at Manchester United's problems they are similar to those faced by Barcelona at that time due to numerous internal issues. So to overcome this problem, Manchester United needs a loyal president like Laporta and an experienced coach with a mentality like Flick. So far, Amorin has been good emotionally, but he lacks the mentality and experience.
Manchester United has always been inconsistent for some years overall but among all those years, last season was the worst of it all in terms of performance and all. This season their fans saw a lot of potentials in them, some of them took into account the performance of the team during the pre season and concluded that they will do well. After two games with one loss and a draw, it's not a good start for the team and I think they need serious improvement
Yes last year seems to be the most noticable as a worst and unfortunate season for Manchester united because of there poor performance and seeing where they ended in the premier league table. With the name Manchester united has and seeing where they finished last season was really embarrassing. There was a point they were unable to win a match in the premier league though the season just started and I don't really want to conclude that they are bad because if it was last season, that match they played against fulham they would've lost the match but they manage to draw and so I will say there is a little improvement and I think what is remaining for Amorim now is the ability for him to use each player well.
