it has also led to vices and brutality among fans who may transfer aggression from lost bets on opposing fans celebrating and this has caused brutality in many places.
For real? I don't know how often you have experienced something like this or how often this has been reported, to include it as something caused by sports betting. This is simply not true or happens in inconsequential numbers.
Through sponsorship and partnership, the sports industry and the sports betting industry raise huge amounts of money, so financially they feed off each other. Other than that, i do not see any other important impact sports betting has had on the sports industry.

Fans getting violent only due to lost bets is not just a fable, i think there is a weak but positive relationship between frequent sports gambling & the propensity of spectators to become violent.  Additionally, you may notice legalized sports betting publicly has been associated with a significant increase in domestic violence on NFL game loss days. Hence, this is not inconsequential or unusual and it can compound aggressive tendencies, particularly where emotion & finance collide. imo it goes beyond being a fan & there are psychological after effects to dig into.
