As the host, Newcastle was certainly disappointed not to win the match. They were defeated by Liverpool 2-3. Newcastle fans were understandably upset in this match, as their team was defeated by Liverpool. Since the start of the season, as far as I can remember, Newcastle have not won, and this has undoubtedly forced Eddie to work on improving Newcastle's strength.
A club is only disappointed at home loss when the people they play against are small team but unfortunate Liverpool isn't a small club, they're team that puts fear to others, people wouldn't have predict Liverpool if they knew that Newcastle United deserved to win since they are playing home so actually they didn't feel disappointed but however the time they felt a kind of unhappy was how there determination paid them bad on the last minute because to them it was a high performance to use 10 players and face a team a complete squad was afraid of so actually that equalizer would have been a symbol of a club who doesn't suffer breakdown from lack of one player.
Newcastle United played a magnificent game against Liverpool, playing with ten men for 45 minutes. Look at the statistics, they scored very well for a team playing with ten men. They had more shots than Liverpool. Liverpool had fewer shots, but fortunately, they found the net in the final seconds of extra time through 16-year-old Rio. This gave Liverpool the victory, while Newcastle bore the brunt of the punishment for being down to ten men.
