Liverpool was able to defeat Newcastle tonight and grab all three points from the game but honestly, I think the result wasn't convincing enough. This is their second game of the season and in both occasions, they had to rely on late goals to earn maximum points. Arne Slot is a great manager who I personally think out did himself last season by winning the English Premier League in his first season and I still believe he has the tactical prowess to successfully defend the title this season but if his team continues to let in goals like they've done their first two games of the season, I doubt he succeed.
Liverpool is a lucky club. They won yesterday not because they had the best performance, but because they were lucky to be very honest. Newcastle were 10 man down and they played a beautiful football if not for Anothony Gordon that sold the match yesterday. They were able to equalized the two goals, because Liverpool were poor in defense. And again, I will also blame Isak for not coming to play for his club. Since it is obvious Liverpool have no intention of buying a new striker when their current striker has scored two goals in two matches.
