I have seen a lot of comments from different people venting their frustration at Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen, which is normal, but we all only blame the teams without appreciating the fact that their opponents might have gotten better this new season. Before two seasons ago, Bayern Leverkusen was just an average team and was not regular at top four, but soon they got better and started winning and even kept the record of being undefeated for a season. We might be seeing something like that this season in some of these other clubs. For Borussia Dortmund I don't know what their problem is and the reason for their stagnation for several years.
The stagnation of Borrusia Dortmund over the years is very clear to everyone and we all know is because they nurture the business of football over winning trophies. Borussia Dortmund was suppose to be the team that will be challenging Bayern Munich every year for the trophy but they’re still yet to match up their strength because when they try to built a strong team, they end up selling off the best of their players for money.
As for Bayern Leverkusen, they just tested what it feel like to be champions in the Bundesliga for the first time, not knowing that maintaining that position require them to be consistent and try as much as possible to keep their best players and also spend money to get better players. They also sell most of their great players since they’re a team not as wealthy as the top teams there in the Bundesliga. I understand them but if they want to be champions continuously, they’ll need to sacrifice not selling most of their players out every season if they don’t have a better replacement for them yet.
