Bayer Leverkusen may have lost their first match of the week, but all hope is not lost yet. Yes, I was disappointed and had some very negative thoughts, but Bayer Leverkusen can slowly recover. They're currently trying to get used to their new manager. If the adjustment period takes too long, Leverkusen could drop a lot of points. I think they need to complete their adaptation as soon as possible.
Losing at home is a very bad start against Hoffenheim, who should be a relatively easy opponent.
If the defeat had a reason as the players were adapting to a new coach, then that makes sense.
But if they still get the same result in their next match against Werder Bremen, it looks like Bayer Leverkusen will have to quickly consider their next move.
I have seen a lot of comments from different people venting their frustration at Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen, which is normal, but we all only blame the teams without appreciating the fact that their opponents might have gotten better this new season. Before two seasons ago, Bayern Leverkusen was just an average team and was not regular at top four, but soon they got better and started winning and even kept the record of being undefeated for a season. We might be seeing something like that this season in some of these other clubs. For Borussia Dortmund I don't know what their problem is and the reason for their stagnation for several years.

The reason why people are not happy with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen is because they are the two teams that are capable of challenging with Bayern Munich which means that if they can't keep the energy and become consistent it means that Bayern Munich will just be dominating the league without rivalry. Bayern Leverkusen even tried for winning the Bundesliga last two seasons but for Dortmund, the owner of the club is only interested in building players and selling them out to become world class in other top clubs which is the reason why they haven't won the Bundesliga for a very long time now if not they were Bayern Munich's toughest rivals before Bayern Leverkusen came into the picture.

It's not easy to compete consistently against Bayern Munich. While fans may have expectations, achieving this is far more challenging. I don't think it's fair to expect excellent football and success from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen every year, as it's quite difficult to achieve this. Bayern Munich has an advantage over their opponents, and overcoming this is not easy.

Teams are revitalized every season, and the performances of other teams are improving as well. Teams with improved performance can play well against Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen, and even better against Munich. Early in the league, teams' performances may not be as they'd like, which can lead to unexpected results.
