The current generation is giving more priority to Bitcoin than gold. Especially in terms of security, Bitcoin has gained more acceptance than gold. Those who have more gold are very worried about their wealth, but those who have more Bitcoin do not have such a situation. They are completely safe anywhere. People are interested in gold as it is considers as old store of value, but it is far behind than Bitcoin. The demand for Bitcoin is increasing gradually and is increasing further in the future. If we imagine in terms of returns, Bitcoin will be far ahead of gold.
Future generations will be digitally-native. So physical items would become a thing of the past. It's so much better to carry "Digital Gold" on a digital wallet, than carrying a bulk of physical gold bars and coins with you. Bitcoin is portable, so you can store millions of dollars within the smallest medium you can imagine. All without bringing unwanted attention.
You can carry BTC with you while traveling, but you can't do the same with Gold. Portability is one of Bitcoin's greatest features. It's the future, anyways (despite naysayers' claims). Who knows? Maybe it Bitcoin will surpass Gold's market cap. One can only hope...
