it depends there are two sides of it
sometimes we'll see what our parents do and mimic it, be more attracted to the activity, but other times we'll feel repulse about it and avoid it
it'll vary a lot from person to person but it's common to have some kind of overlay with our parents interests but this overlay is never 100%
does it make any sense? do you agree with it?
I agree with what you said. Even if gambling is legal in some countries, it doesn't make sense for a father to allow his child to gamble. Generally, parents will do anything for their child's well-being, including education. If they allow their child to gamble, I can't fathom what those parents are doing...
Even though they might be able to stop gambling.
As you said, children who see their fathers gambling might be attracted to whatever their fathers do. But I'm sure not everyone is like this. Some are truly addicted, while others can control themselves well.
