Atletico Madrid didn't make many changes for this season so I don't think they will do much and what happened now is surprising but for me this is only temporary because no matter what they are a team that should be watched out for even though they won't be able to disrupt the competition between Real Madrid and Barcelona so maybe Atletico Madrid will only compete for the top 4 again like last season.
Yes, Atletico Madrid hasn't made significant progress this season, but they're actually experiencing a decline. I don't think Atletico Madrid can deny that. Losing to Espanyol and drawing with a newly promoted team is nothing to be taken for granted. So, it's clear that Atletico Madrid is currently experiencing a drastic decline in performance. I don't really understand why Atletico Madrid's performance has become so poor. As we know, Atletico Madrid brought in a lot of new players in this season's transfer window. In fact, you could say Atletico Madrid is the most aggressive team in La Liga when it comes to transfers.

Ten players have been brought in this season. But strangely, their performance is currently less than stellar. I think the main cause is the players' adaptation. It's certainly not easy for new players to adapt quickly. So, with that in mind, I think it's understandable that they're performing poorly. With that in mind, I hope Atletico Madrid can recover quickly. Because it would certainly be less exciting if Atletico Madrid did not take part in the La Liga title race this season.
