It's starting to become clear that Inter isn't dead and that they can still compete for the Scudetto. This overwhelming victory is, in my opinion, a subliminal message sent to Antonio Conte. They're telling him: we're here and be careful, you wont have an easy life.
That first match was Chivu proving ground for some of his doubters. He silenced those who doubted him earlier in the season with a convincing victory in his first match. However given that this is just the beginning, we can't jump to conclusions yet, but in the race for the Scudetto Inter remains the clear favorite, as they should be.
As seen in the first week of Serie A, we could be in for a similar battle to last season Napoli vs Inter in the race for the Scudetto.
