In 2023, I heard about this man on a Brazilian news portal
It's not just the fact that he collects cans to buy BTC that is interesting, but the whole package: in addition to recycling and accumulating satoshis, he also promotes Bitcoin and spreads knowledge
He has educational projects about Bitcoin, and his X profile is for anyone who is interested: https://x.com/sucateirocripto

An extremely interesting quote from him (translated to english):
“My partnership with Bitcoin was never about getting rich, but about not getting poorer.”
Source

And one correction, he says he's not close to having 1 BTC
He comments that the current goal is to reach 0.1 BTC, which makes the story more believable

I don't know exactly where the idea came from that he's almost reaching 1 BTC

This makes more sense to me personally. I don't mean to belittle his ability to accumulate 1 BTC in 2 years. Logically, it's quite impossible to acquire 1 Bitcoin at, say, an average price of $100,000 just by relying on side jobs. However 0.1 Bitcoin is still possible. Assuming the person collects $15 per day, this means he would need to collect approximately 10 kg of cans per day. It's more reasonable, right?
Yes, I understand that the OP goal is to motivate people that even if we're not rich, we can still invest in Bitcoin as long as we have the will and mentality. The story from Brazil is very inspiring and I respect it.
