It is clear that healthy gamblers and bettors will never ruin their reputation because of gambling. They will always stick to the truth and defend their principles.
And addicted players are not principled, they are ready to lie and keep silent about their true opinion, and also pretend. Both in front of relatives and strangers, and this is terrible. A gambler healthy from addictions will not try to win back, he will simply say: "Well, then the casino is not the thing where I can achieve great success."
Judging whether a gambler is responsible or not based on how he handles reputation is not telling at all. Because there are reckless gamblers who can pretend in public and hide their habits from the public but in reality they are hooked and can't stop gambling. Eventually of course, it catches up to them and they end up being exposed whether because they end up becoming too poor that everyone else knows or they do something so damaging to their reputation like steal just to keep up with their habits. A gambler is real responsible if he can be responsible even if he is alone.
