Honestly, I was low-key expecting Man UTD to turn the game around like they are used to doing but it's safe to say that Grimsby came all out for them I have to say that this has been the longest penalty shootout that I've witnessed in a long while and even though Man UTD tried all they could do to ensure they come out being the winners via penalties, today was just not their day. Wow, football can be really unpredictable.
In the end, Man United lost despite trying to equalize the score to 2-2, but they were unlucky in the long penalty shootout.
The game should not have gotten to penalty kicks, Manchester United were lucky to score the second goal because Grimsby Club played better most of the game. Amorim needs to get to the drawing board and try to get things right because I do not think his job will be secured if Manchester United are unable to win their next game. I know most of the blame will want to go to Onana the goalkeeper, but he was not the only problem in the team. If Manchester United met the game with the correct mentality, they would have won. I think they were expecting Grimsby to sit back and play defense.
