How about military facilities like tankers, jet fighters, etc, would they ever be powered with electric? Gas and crude are raw materials and won't go out of shape. What would countries like Saudi do, and all other oil producing nations? However, nobody knows what the future holds, changes like this one may not just happen unexpectedly.
I don't think that they'd do that. That's going to cost and consume them a lot of time just to prepare it. And they cannot afford it to run down of power during the war if ever they're going to enter one again. Gas and crude will still be used no matter what advancement we get from the technology that these companies are referring. But maybe someday in the future, they will integrate it with electricity. Just because Saudi has loosened up its tie with the USD, this might be a propaganda that's being pushed for.
