There is no doubt that Manchester United coach has been able to sign some good players who are expected to return Manchester United today lost to glory. After seeing the kind of critical signings that Manchester United did in this just concluded transfer window, I was so certain that Manchester United will surely bounce back this season. Then Manchester United has played two matches but the result from the two matches does not meet the expectation of everyone. I will not blame it on the goalkeeper even if he is part of the problem but I think that the bigger part of the problem is the Manchester United style of coaching as introduced by Amorim.
I do not know what Mount does in the Manchester United line up and I do not also understand Amorim's type of false 9 and how it will work.
Ruben Amorim has made quite an impressive signing but not all that good enough to conclude that they would bring Manchester United back to their glory days, it's going to take more than just a few signings of this kind. Before now they had played two games without a win, last night in the Carabao cup against Grimsby Town made it 3 games in a row without any convincing result that these signings could be anything closer to bringing back Manchester United glory days. Let's accept reality for now that those days are over. And of course Amorim style of coaching isn't really helping the team.
