In the Champions League's toughest match of the night, Benfica eliminated Fenerbahçe 1-0 with a goal from Turkish player Kerem Aktürko?lu. Benfica will enter the Champions League from the second pot, and the draw will take place today. It's safe to say that Benfica were the more effective side throughout the match. They scored a few goals, but they were disallowed. Furthermore, goalkeeper Livakovic prevented several clear-cut chances. Don't let the single-goal scoreline fool you, but Benfica played very well.
It was obvious in my opinion, Benfica is a better team than these others, it's a shame because Fenerbahçe could have done a little more, I'm not a fan of Turkish teams obviously but these are teams that could easily play in the Champions League, without too many problems.
Benfica deserve to qualify with that performance, they showed character, they showed they wanted it more, they showed they really want to be in the champions league this season. It was an exciting match, Top atmosphere, and the intensity was top notch also. Benfica scored a couple of times but got ruled out by Var as Offside but they still managed to put one pass Jose morihno side.

Right from the goalless draw in that first leg I knew Benfica will take advantage of the second leg since they would be playing at home, they fans really played a big part in that win yesterday, they were behind those players, and that made it very easy for them to get the win.

It was a good one, though it disappointing we won’t be seeing the Jose morihno drama in the champions league this season, it always fun to have him in the champions league.
