It’s undeniable today that the most powerful people are those who have massive amount of funds due to widespread businesses and other sources of income. Money is power, and without money, you have no place in the society nor in the government. But my question is, do we need to gain power and make tons of money for us to enjoy life?

Money brings power, but I don’t think it will definitely give us eternal happiness. At the end of the day, this kind of power will only be temporary, once its gone, power is no longer there as well.
It's true that sometimes we won't be appreciated if we don't have money. Most people's goal is to live a comfortable life, and one way to achieve that is by having a lot of money. However, not everyone with a lot of money can live comfortably. For example, I'm sure corrupt officials have a lot of money, but the way they do it is wrong, so it's like they're planting the seeds of trouble. Because any dirty act will be seen, and after it happens, their lives will be restless.
I'm not thinking about gaining power; I'm just trying hard to earn money the right way.
