Benfica-Fenerbahçe was a big game and I expected nothing less than a competitive match between the pair. Pre game Benfica have recorded two wins and two draws in four and Fenerbahce have not won so it was an easier bet to pick Benfica over Fenerbahçe and boy was I right
The match was intense and tense, although Benfica seemed to dominate the game with their ball possession, Fenerbahce also performed solidly, with their defense making it difficult for Benfica players to score goals, until in the 35th minute the silence was broken by a goal scored by Kerem Akturkoglu, which also proved to be the winning goal for Benfica. No additional goals were scored by either team until the end of the match. It was truly impressive to witness both teams' efforts to qualify for the Champions League group stage.
