It's no surprise, then, that Manchester United fans immediately called for Amorim to be sacked and for Onana to be relieved of his duties, as he simply doesn’t deserve to be at the club. but I think that there has to be something changed at Manchester United, it might be more than firing amorim and onana, something more fundamental, because Manchester United's problem is not just that, but the structure of the club as a whole.
After 2 bad results in the Premier League and lose in the EFL Cup yesterday then I agree Amorim was fired, that's the first step to take because it is clearly unreasonable for Man United to be beaten by Grimsby teams playing outside the Premier League besides that, the defense line must be changed and there is still time to do it. Here we are not talking about Amorim abilities but maybe his playing style is not suitable for Man United or maybe there are some other factors.

The irony is that United invested everything in forwards this summer (United: Šeško, Mbeumo, Cunha - 229m) and still, 0 non-own goals in the league despite 30 shots. None of the defensive midfielders are brought in, midfield is overrun (literally Fulham formed a 3v2 by simply replicating the back three of Amorim). The flashy front line will continue to shoot out since they are making hasty, poor quality opportunities without correcting the spine
On top of that, Amorim appears to be encircled by his own philosophy. It worked in Sporting since he had profiles fed by academies and a league that allowed him to dominate. His PPDA of 8.1 in England vs Liverpool of 5.7, and thus he has wavered at half-heartedly pressing, leaving Onana and the back line hanging.
