I personally never liked Brave browser because it contradicts itself.
They talk about privacy and tracker protection and ad blocking a lot but they go ahead and add features that shows users advertisements and tracks them and they even have an anti-privacy thing through KYC (for brave reward thing which I think was BAT token or something like that).
Brave is like a custodial service claiming to be open source and non custodian. I've seen countless adverts concerning brave across different platforms and what came to my mind at first is you don't see someone advertising a service if they have absolutely nothing to gain from it and it's the reason real open source and noncustodial services don't run ads most times.

I've never used brave and I don't think I'm going to be using it anytime soon. As for annoying ads DNS can help sometimes.
