One-Day Cup has reached to its Quarter final game in which Hampshire defeated Middlesex by a big margin. Hampshire opener Nick couldn't survive for long and end first partnership at 45 runs. The opener Ali completed his century with 12 boundaries further game was progressed by rest of the team. The middle order couldn't deliver their peak performance so 9 wickets were knocked out for a target of 229. Middlesex took a start with 19 runs partnership but the opener Nathan and one down player Sam made brilliant runs. Middlesex lost this game unfortunately because of the negligence of the middle and final orders as just one player from final order could score 39 runs while rest suffered. They couldn't chase the runs and lost this game by 42 runs.
Both quarter final matches of this competition have been completed and now semi finals will be played and then final match. Hampshire squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 229 scores after playing 50 overs inning with lost of 9 batter wickets. Top order batter Ali Orr displayed quite strong batting performance and he played amazing inning and he collected 108 scores after playing 140 deliveries. All middle batters expressed their bad batting performance and thanks James Fuller who build partnership with Ali Orr and he collected 42 scores. Middlesex squad lost this important match and now they disqualified from competition and their squad was fell short by 42 scores. Liam Dawson played crucial role in getting victory and he picked up 4 important wickets.
