The other day, someone was complaining that it's only the rich teams that win. Today, another person is complaining that the richer team or the bigger team should qualify ahead of the smaller teams.
I honestly didn't believe anybody would complain about this. Fenerbache had their chance to qualify against Benfica, but they couldn't and now Benfica is here while they're not. Isn't football by merit anymore?
Or do you want only teams from the big football league to play in the Champions League and leave no chance for the smaller leagues? Then teams like Manchester Unted should play in the champions league if so.
The fact is that some people forget that football comes with surprises; a team you did not expect to win will be the one to surprise, while sometimes a team you are expecting to win the match won’t go anywhere and may not even perform well, so that is football.
Some people are expecting the big clubs to always be at the top, forgetting even the small clubs are here to be dull; they can pull off unexpected performances. Seriously, if there are no small clubs in the league, it won’t be interesting and competitive, but if a small club is winning against a big club, it becomes interesting and sweet.
