Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI
Sri Lanka toured Zimbabwe to play two ODIs and three T20Is. Today will be the first match of the ODI series. We know that Sri Lanka is a relatively stronger team than Zimbabwe, so Sri Lanka will be ahead in this series. Now if I have to predict today's match then I will put Sri Lanka ahead. Because Sri Lanka has won 4 matches in the last 5 head-to-head matches and 1 match has been cancelled. But the Zimbabwean team will play at home, so they will get a bit more support. However, Sri Lanka is more likely to win based on performance. Now let's see how well Zimbabwean players can do.
Zimbabwe finally seem to have found a team they could play with. Even though Sri Lanka set a large target of 299, Zimbabwe too are playing really well.
Sri Lank batting first, had a decent game where they played slow and saved wickets for the last 10 overs where Janith Liyanage and Kamindu Mendis played aggressive to get to near 6 runs per over mark. It was supposed to be a huge target for Zimbabwe but they too are showing great performance. Even though they lost two wicket early, Ben Curran and Sean Williams are playing well with both over 50 and the run rate not much low from what's required. They are 109/2 at the end of 21st over. If they be able to continue this performance and the middle order be able to continue this, they could win it.
