I’m impressed with Xabi Alonso,s input so far. I can see a better playing style and a gradual build of good team work within the players, I also noticed he is getting a better understanding of how best to utilize his star studded team to the best of their ability. If they fully get an understanding of Xabi’s philosophy and team work they will be an excellent team to watch.
In their last two matches, Real Madrid managed to keep a clean sheet against Osasuna and Real Oviedo. And in these two matches, Real Madrid managed to control the ball well. In the match against Osasuna, Real Madrid managed to gain 71 percent possession in this match. Meanwhile in the match against Real Oviedo, Real Madrid managed to gain 65 percent possession. However in the last match, Real Madrid played exceptionally well despite facing an opponent using a low block defensive 5-4-1 formation. They managed to break through Oviedo's defense and scored three goals. This was also accompanied by pressing tactics and tight marking of the opponents as instructed by Xabi Alonso. So I think Xabi Alonso and the team have developed a good understanding in forming the formation and implementing tactics effectively. And they have successfully delivered a good performance through this collaboration. So I personally also impressed with Xabi Alonso input recently, where they have made a spectacular start to the season. But Real Madrid still have a long way to go. There will be several obstacles that they will have to overcome in order to further prove their performance. If they play neatly it will lead them to the winning of championship.
