I’m impressed with Xabi Alonso,s input so far. I can see a better playing style and a gradual build of good team work within the players, I also noticed he is getting a better understanding of how best to utilize his star studded team to the best of their ability. If they fully get an understanding of Xabi’s philosophy and team work they will be an excellent team to watch.
What still needs to be improved now is the build-up of attacks, especially Madrid's signature quick counterattacks, which still need to be honed because, judging from their dominance and determination, they are actually quite good, but there are still some gaps that make them less than optimal at certain moments. However, overall, what Xabi is doing now is very good, and we cannot deny that.
Week 3 is just around the corner, where Madrid will host Mallorca at the Bernabeu, which clearly raises expectations for Madrid's final result.
